Almost all true coffee fans certainly ever drank a cup of cappuccino, a coffee-based beverage creation. Cappuccino has long been popular all over the world and is sure to be a menu in a variety of local cafes and in the fancy coffee shops.

Coffee has come a long way since the days of adding hot water to a teaspoon of instant granules, and the cappuccino you enjoy at your local cafe is much more achievable at home.

There are many myths in the world of an event, or the background of other things, as well as cappuccino. A myth says that the cappuccino's silky magic is beyond the grasp of home baristas. It's just too delicate of a dance, best left to the cafe.

But the reality of cappuccino as mentioned in illy.com turns out that the great cappuccino is available to delight discerning coffee lovers, right in their own kitchens. It takes some practice with water, steam and foam, along with the right equipment on your counter top. You'll want an espresso machine with a built-in steaming wand.

Another Myth: the foam on an Italian cappuccino is different, but the Truth; they don’t heat the foam as much. It’s lighter and cooler than ours. Because of this and the fact that they use less milk overall, coffee lines in Italy move super fast. You never wait more than a couple minutes.

Cappuccino is one of the most widely known Italian beverages. The “cappuccino” originated in Italy 500 years ago? It is believed to be derived from “cappuccio” which translates as “hood” in Italian. The Capuchin order in the year 1525 played a crucial role in reintroducing Catholicism to Europe.

A few research studies reveal that cappuccino could have been derived from the color of the robe worn by Capuchin monks. However, this theory is not clearly established. The recorded history of cappuccino actually belongs to a more recent past, the first patented machines dating back to 1901. Cappuccino never went out of fashion, in fact it has kept up with the times ever since.

Luigi Bezzera invented the first espresso machine in 1901. During the Second World War, cappuccinos became very popular and have remained so ever since. Cappuccino became extremely popular in Italy on the 20th century.

During the 3rd centennial celebration of the Turkish siege in Vienna (1983), the Austrian media claimed that the Capuchin monk was responsible for inventing cappuccino. Many people in fact believe the Capuchin monk Marco d’Aviano invented that cappuccino after the famous battle of Vienna in the year 1683. This theory is considered to be more of a myth than a fact. Even today, the story and invention of cappuccino seems to have stuck with Marco d’Aviano without any proof or evidence.

As we see, a cappuccino is a coffee drink that is a mixture of espresso and steamed milk. How to make a good cappuccino? Please follow these steps:

      1. Insert a steam-wand tip one-half inch into a small metal pitcher of cold milk. As the milk     foams, lower the pitcher at the same rate the milk raises. No bobbing up and down. Note: A stove top brewer is essential if you want Italian-style coffee.

2.The correct milk temperature is 148 to 155       degrees. If you are not using a   thermometer, you know the temperature is right when the little metal pitcher feels to your touch like.

      3. To create a good cappuccino you'll need a milk frother. Available from home wares stores, these range from plungers to hand-held manual or battery-operated 1-cup frothier (from around US$10).

To make froth with a manual 1-cup milk frother, pour the reserved hot milk into a warmed cup. Place the frother in the cup and pump up and down for 15-20 seconds or until milk is thick and frothy. Spoon froth over the cappuccinos and dust with chocolate to serve.

Additional tips: After use, please rinse your stoves top coffee brewer with hot water and use a non-abrasive scourer to remove any coffee residue.

The secrets: Let the foamy milk settle for about fifteen seconds. Then it's crucial to swirl the container for a few seconds, until the foam and milk are incorporated. It's ready when the surface of the milk becomes shiny. Pour the milk on top of the espresso without using a spoon. If you make cappuccino with a spoon, you can't be a barista at La Colombe."

If you want to enjoy a cappuccino without a headache, you can buy instant cappuccino in mini market, but if you seriously want to get a real cappuccino, then you need to invest cappuccino machine.
